For manufacturers
The EU declaration of conformity, right on the platform
Since 12 August 2026, packaging placed on the EU market needs an EU declaration of conformity. With PackCert you draw it up in a guided form — instead of by hand in a separate document.
What the feature does
A guided form puts your details into the shape of an EU declaration of conformity: your role, the manufacturer, the packaging, the requirements that apply on the date of issue, and the signature. Your stored company details are prefilled; you enter the packaging details. You download the result as a PDF.
- 1
Guided form
Role, economic operator, packaging and signature in one flow, prefilled from your stored master data.
- 2
Only what applies today
You confirm the requirements that apply on the date of issue. The ones that start later are shown ahead of time.
- 3
Versions instead of overwriting
A correction creates a new version; the previous one stays available and traceable.
- 4
A PDF to sign
Download the finished document as a PDF and keep it on file.
Who it is for
The obligation to draw up the declaration lies with the manufacturer within the meaning of Art. 3(1)(13) PPWR — whoever manufactures packaging or a packaged product, or has it manufactured, under their own name or trademark. Whether you hold that role is for you to establish in each case; the platform does not make that call for you.
Legal framework
Once conformity has been demonstrated under Module A (internal production control, technical documentation under Annex VII), the manufacturer draws up an EU declaration of conformity under Art. 39 PPWR. It is the manufacturer's own declaration: PackCert issues no certificate, does not check your details and gives no legal advice.
